The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO), as the member organization for the governor-designated State Energy Offices from the 56 states and territories, has been supporting State Energy Offices as they stand-up EV infrastructure programs across the country. Having led EV infrastructure build-out for their states under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and in many states under the Volkswagen Settlement, State Energy Offices have long been leaders in planning for and implementing ambitious EV policies and programs to support their state’s broader energy and climate goals.

Recently, NASEO has been working with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Office and National Renewable Energy Laboratory to help states build out EV infrastructure in a strategic, efficient, and equitable manner. To support these efforts, NASEO, in partnership with ICF and Atlas Public Policy, will be launching a State EV Planning Clearinghouse, a one-stop shop for states as they plan for and implement EV charging programs under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The State EV Planning Clearinghouse is expected to launch mid-February. Please contact Cassie Powers (cpowers@naseo.org) for additional information.
