Maya Iñigo – Anderson | Coordinator at Charge Ahead California; Transportation Equity Fellow at Communities for a Better Environment

Maya Iñigo-Anderson works at Communities for a Better Environment (CBE) as Coordinator of the Charge Ahead campaign and as a Transportation Equity Fellow. She focuses on equitable, clean transportation policy advocacy, along with community-based research and engagement with environmental justice community residents. Maya previously worked with the Koreatown Immigrant Workers’ Alliance (KIWA) on equitable mobility, workers’ rights and childhood lead poising prevention. Prior to that, she focused on leadership training in low-income communities and living wage policy advocacy as Lead Organizer at the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy. Maya was part of the team who passed the country’s first Hospitality Living Wage ordinance in the Los Angeles LAX corridor and later introduced a similar policy in Long Beach. Maya has a particular interest in promoting policies that empower environmental justice communities and also create sustainable, living wage jobs. Maya is based in CBE’s Huntington Park office in Los Angeles county.
