Kay Kelly | Chief of Innovative Mobility, Colorado Department of Transportation

Kay Kelly is the Chief of Innovative Mobility at the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). This office has a goal of reducing pollution in our air and congestion on our roads by expanding multimodal transportation options using traditional and emerging mobility technologies.

Prior to joining CDOT, Kay served as the Transportation Climate Change Specialist at the Colorado Energy Office, where she worked across agency boundaries on transportation and climate issues, including the transportation elements of the state’s Greenhouse Gas Roadmap. Kay also has experience in the Federal Government and the private sector serving as a senior project leader in the Center for Integrated Mobility Sciences at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, a regional manager with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Vehicle Technologies Office and a program analyst for Ford Motor Company’s Scientific Research Lab.
