Forth's mission is to electrify transportation by bringing people together to create solutions that reduce pollution and barriers to access. Since our founding in 2011, Forth has been directly involved in every aspect of charging. We have written reports; we have managed the direct installation of charging; we have advised cities, states, and utilities; and we have designed and led programs to encourage apartment managers, employers, governments, and utilities to invest in charging infrastructure. During the past year, we worked with partners to complete a pathbreaking charging needs analysis for the state of Oregon, and we also developed recommendations for governments seeking to build a strong and equitable private charging ecosystem for the International ZEV Alliance. Our work emphasizes equity, collaboration, and the promotion of best practices.

Forth will invest over $5 million from the USDOE and other partners over the next three years to make charging at work as easy as parking at work. Forth is establishing a nationwide brand-neutral platform to make it easy for employers to learn why and how they should support workers who commute in clean electric cars and recognize and reward employers for doing so. Forth also commits to developing a similar program to ensure that people who live in apartments can charge as easily and cheaply as those who live in single-family homes.  Forth further commits to launching additional brand-neutral education opportunities to ensure that city, regional, and state transportation staff and other stakeholders have the information they need to use federal charging funds quickly, effectively, and in ways that center equity, and to developing tools and templates to help historically underserved communities access federal charging funds.
